  • This video goes over information about a cystoscopy for people with a penis and prostate performed in a doctor's office, including: basic anatomy, why you would have one, what to expect before, during, and after the procedure, risks, and possible alternatives.

Diabetes - Why Your Medicines Matter

Main changes:

  • Changed name from “Diabetes Alert – Missed Prescription”
  • Updated for standard language
Depression

Program Code: 116

Main changes:

  • Overhauled program to new reflect UpToDate Patient Engagement's new look and feel
    • Modernized art style and animations
    • Shortened program length to retain patient engagement
      • Old length: 30 min.
      • New length: 10 min.
  • Updated the program goal to focus on bridging the transition of care between PCP referrals and mental health professionals
  • Pared content down to eliminate any repetition/make more streamlined.
  • In the interest of shortening the program, removed the following information:
    • Information about the different types of depression, including major depression, persistent depressive disorder, SAD, adjustment disorder, postpartum depression, and bipolar disorder
    • Removed information reviewing specific types of therapy, including CBT, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. This content made the program longer and isn’t necessary to provide to patients at this touchpoint.
    • Signs of substance use disorder
    • Information about alcohol and depression
  • Harmonized content with UpToDate
    • Harmonized signs and symptoms of depression with UpToDate and based on DSM-5 criteria
  • Updated based on accessibility considerations

Diabetes Alert - High Blood Pressure

Program Code: 214

Main changes:

  • Harmonized content with UpToDate
    • Discuss treatment strategy differences between elevated and high blood pressure ranges
    • Harmonized blood pressure emergency symptoms with UpToDate Patient Education
    • Added some guidance to help improve accuracy when taking blood pressure at home
  • Updated content with AMR feedback
    • Increased focus informational nature of the video and decreased emphasis on calling to make an appointment
    • Added some additional information on sodium in the diet
Catheter Ablation to Treat A Fib (Atrial Fibrillation)

Main changes:

  • Language style updates were made to improve clarity, accessibility, and readability, including simplifying medical jargon, making the text more gender-neutral, and aligning the language with UpToDate standards.
  • Several sections have been removed or revised to focus more specifically on procedure-related information.

  • Included lines to clarify the difference between cysts and fibroadenomas, per AMR
