Early-Stage Breast Cancer: Systemic Treatment Options

Program Code: 25361

Subscriptions: UpToDate Decide, UpToDate Engage, Faith-Based UpToDate Engage

Main changes:

  • Harmonized with UpToDate
  • Broadened scope to include all systemic treatments (both neoadjuvant and adjuvant) as neoadjuvant treatments are very common
  • Cut back on a lot of specific treatment information because this is a rapidly changing environment as far as treatments are concerned, and each patient will be given a specific treatment plan based on their cancer and situation; unnecessary to learn all the details of each and every treatment.
  • Removed “no systemic treatments” as it is unusual for patients to have this “option”
  • Added treatment options including: immunotherapy and targeted therapies
